Python For Reservoir & Production Engineering

The workshop aims to provide reservoir and production engineers with practical skills in Python programming for reservoir and production engineering applications. Participants will learn Python programming basics, data analysis, visualization, and modeling techniques relevant to reservoir and production engineering. The workshop aims to enable engineers to use Python as a tool to analyze reservoir data, visualize results, and develop simulation models. Through hands-on exercises and real-world examples, participants will gain proficiency in Python programming and its applications in reservoir and production engineering workflows.

Workshop Objectives

• Absolute basics of Python.

• Data types, variables, and other building blocks of Python language.

• Python visualization and GUI.

• Working with Data tables and various data sources including (Excel, CSV, and ASCII files)

• Use Case 1: Well Logs.

• Use Case 2: Reservoir Material balance calculation.

• Use Case 3: Interactive Nodal Analysis for Producing Wells.

• Use Case 4: Time-Rate DCA forecasting
