Advanced Waterflooding Performance Analysis Using MS- Excel
About 50% of the total oil produced today is from waterflood. About 50% of the proved oil reserves in the world can be attributed to waterflood. If we can increase recovery factor from waterflood by a few percentage points, we can have significant volume of additional reserves.
More importantly, these volumes can be produced at a negligible cost as compared to cost of finding new oil or additional recovery by use of EOR. The learning event “Advanced Analysis of Waterflood Performance Using Microsoft Excel” will provide the participants with skills to analyze the performance of a waterflood and identify the means of improving its performance.
A number of Excel based problems and examples from real life waterflood projects will be used to illustrate the salient points.
Description
This intensive online training program provides a detailed exploration of advanced waterflooding performance analysis techniques using Microsoft Excel. Participants will learn to:
- Build robust waterflood models: Develop dynamic models in Excel to simulate and predict reservoir behavior under varying injection strategies.
- Analyze key performance indicators: Evaluate waterflood efficiency using critical metrics and diagnostic plots.
- Optimize injection strategies: Design and fine-tune waterflood programs to maximize recovery and improve project economics.
- Forecast production performance: Generate accurate production forecasts and assess the long-term impact of waterflooding operations.
- Troubleshoot common challenges: Identify and address potential issues affecting waterflood performance.
